About the documentary (source):
SHARKWATER: EXTINCTION is a thrilling and inspiring documentary adventure to save the world’s greatest predator – the shark.
Discovering that sharks are being hunted to extinction, and with them the destruction of our life support system - activist and filmmaker Rob Stewart embarks on a dangerous quest to stop the slaughter. Following the sharks – and the money – into the elusive pirate fishing industry, Stewart uncovers a multi-billion dollar scandal that makes us all accomplices in the greatest wildlife massacre ever known.
This is both an incredible and quite devastating documentary and I urge you to watch it. Of course it is an absolute outrage that so many species and the ecologies they depend on are being so devastated, however I had no idea about the situation with sharks. And in large part, because of the delicacy of Shark Fin Soup!!! How ludicrous and utterly shameful.
The filmmaker (the late Rob Stewart) also has a previous film called just Sharkwater, the trailer for which you can see here: https://youtu.be/lE2awFLgEaE
There is also this interview with Rob Stewart's parents, filmed after his death:
